Frequently Asked Questions

Is this therapy?

No. While this work may feel therapeutic, it’s not therapy, and I’m not a licensed therapist. This is coaching — but not the 'cheerleader with goals' kind. It’s deep, somatic, experiential work rooted in presence, pattern interruption, and embodied self-trust.

We’re not analyzing the past. We’re meeting what’s happening right now — in the moment your system reacts — so you can move through it in real time, rather than process it after the fact.

How is this different from somatic work or nervous system regulation?

This isn’t about controlling or managing your nervous system. It’s about learning to listen to it.

Instead of techniques to calm or bypass a difficult moment, we slow down and enter it — safely, at your pace — to see what it’s actually trying to say. Not from a place of fixing, but from a place of meeting.

When your system feels seen instead of managed, it starts to move on its own.

Do you work with trauma?

I’m not a trauma therapist, but trauma is often what shows up. Not the event — but the pattern your system created in response to what it couldn’t safely feel.

This work gently unwinds that pattern, without forcing anything to happen. We’re not here to re-live or re-trigger. We’re here to create contact with what’s still holding on — and let it know it doesn’t have to anymore.

What happens in a session?

There’s no script. No protocol. We start with what’s alive for you in that moment — a feeling, a trigger, a stuck place — and we follow it.

I’ll reflect what I see. I’ll guide you into your body. I’ll help you stay with the places you usually leave. We might talk. We might go quiet. We might laugh. We’ll go exactly where your system is ready to go — and nowhere it’s not.

It’s not performance. It’s presence.

Is this work intense?

Sometimes. But not in the 'push through it' kind of way.

It’s intense like truth is intense — clarifying, humbling, relieving. You might feel more than you’re used to. You might feel less. But you’ll always feel safe, respected, and in choice.

I don’t push. I don’t prod. I invite.
And your system gets to decide how far we go.

How do I know if I’m ready?

You’ve likely already done a lot of work.
You’re introspective. Self-aware. Maybe even exhausted from trying to figure it all out.

If your body is saying 'yes,' even subtly — you’re ready.

You don’t need to feel brave. You don’t need to feel sure. You just need to be willing to stop pretending you’re fine when you’re not.

That’s where we start.

I’ve never done anything like this before—will I be lost?

Not at all. You don’t need to ‘get it’ or come in with spiritual language. You just need to feel like something’s off and be willing to explore what’s underneath. I’ll guide the rest.
